Kim is a dynamic leader who has brought his abilities to implement successful business education and leadership strategies to the public and private sectors. A graduate of Lock Haven University, the PA School of Banking at Bucknell University, and the PA Rural Leadership Program at Penn State University, Kim has served as both an educator and a business executive/owner.
Throughout his career Kim has managed large-scale projects in the Corporate Sector. He served as Executive Vice-President for Embanet, a Canadian-based Online Program Management company (purchased by Pearson), and the Executive Vice-President for Strategic Partnerships at Comcourse, located in Santa Cruz, California.
While employed at Embanet, Kim created and implemented a national business development strategy and managed the sales team for the entire country. Kim personally expanded Embanet’s university portfolio by adding educational clients like Washington State University, Ohio University, Thomas Jefferson Law School, Sterling College, Abilene Christian University, George Washington University, Harding University, College of Saint Scholoastica, and Woodbridge College.
At Comcourse, Kim managed the company’s transition from the for-profit career school market to a Full-Service Solution company serving 4-year, regionally accredited colleges and universities offering new or existing online programs.
During his tenure at Comcourse, he successfully won contracts with San Diego Christian College, Southwestern Christian University, Urbana College, Rochester College, Alderson Broaddus University, John Hancock College, Crown College, and St. Louis University.
