Meet Michael Wang

At Beacon Education, Michael is responsible for strategy and execution. He is a senior affiliate of Primavera Capital, a leading private equity management firm with USD 8bn assets under management.

At Primavera, Michael led many significant investments spanning the education, technology and financial services sectors. His notable investments in the education sector include the buyout of Stratford School, a US private school system, and strategic investments in the Chinese ed-tech sector.

Previous board directorship: Stratford School, Zhengming Logistics, Dashu Finance, Element Fresh, and Miaozhen Systems.

Michael previously worked with Goldman Sachs on its China investment banking team.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University with first class honors and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
